Block of 3 Riso Project Workshops

Description

Do you have a project you want to do over a few weeks? Well this is a block of three sessions in our studio you can spread over various Tuesdays, Fridays and/or Saturdays to suite you! We’ll be making 30 deluxe cut and fold zines stitched into their own covers with fold out posters inside.

Week 1: Planning & Printing

In the first session we’ll have a chat about what sort of zine you want to make, and hopefully get your covers designed and printed. If possible we might also get a poster print to go on the inside of your zine printed too!

Week 2: The Main Zine

This session is most like the standard zine-making workshop as we design the body of the zine as a cut and fold 8-pager zine printed in two colours.

Week 3: Bringing It All Together

By now we should have a bunch of printed bits of paper! We’ll be folding our zines and their covers and learning the simple three hole stitch that binds the project together. Finally we’ll have a wee chat about selling zines and approaching shops!

Who Is This Class For?

This is for anyone who wants to do a more complex zine – you should have a rough idea of what your zine is about, though guidance will be given during the workshops.

What Should I Bring?

Yourself! But do feel free to bring any images or supplies that you think you might like to use in the process!
